• The music underlying the Kings Landing's scenes was truly stunning and really elevated the suspense and horror as we watched Cersei descend into madness. We knew she was capable of murder, but the body count this episode was staggering for just the actions of one person! Pycelle, High Sparrow, Septa Unella, Lancel, Margaery, Loras, Mace, Kevan, Tommen... I think we all were looking forward to the religious fanatics getting their comeuppance, but it then went to a very dark place that felt too far even for this show. The scene where Tommen committed suicide was so eerie and saddening, and a poignant end to that character. By the end of the episode Cersei had gotten everything she had every wanted: power on the Iron Throne, but had lost everything by getting there. All her children are dead, the only true family she has left by her side is Jaime but even he seems disturbed by her now.
• On to something a bit happier - R +L =J finally got confirmed! We all knew it really, but it was so satisfying to see the Tower Of Joy scene in full and know for sure. This changes things a great deal, as technically Jon could be the true heir to the Iron Throne in front of Daenerys (who would be Jon's aunt). We just need Bran to now hurry down to Winterfell and let him know!
• Jon Snow is KING IN THE NORTH (I can never say those words without shouting them, even in my own head). After the battle, the Lords of the North offered up their swords to him and swore allegiance. Was that a look of jealously we saw in Sansa's eyes, or just wariness of Littlefinger...
• The Red Wedding has been avenged! In what I think was the most victorious scene in Game Of Thrones history, Arya Stark gave Walder Frey what he deserved. However has she now gone too far in her quest to murder those who have wronged her family? Killing him was one thing, but baking his sons into a pie? We know that she still has human emotions, shown when she chose to protect the innocent Lady Crane against the Faceless Men, but the blank look she had on her face as Walder Frey died was slightly unnerving. She seemed to be enjoying it a bit too much. Don't go full Cersei!
• Daenerys is finally going to Westeros, with Dothraki, Unsullied, Tyrell, Greyjoy and Martell armies in tow! Can anyone in Westeros stop her now? I for one absolutely cannot wait for a Cersei/Daenerys showdown.

• The only disappointing aspect of this episode was the nature of Margeary's death. The character was so cunning, clever and interesting and I feel that her exit was too quick and sudden considering the importance of her role in the show. I do understand that it had to happen to keep the storyline moving forward though.

3. Where will Melisandre go now?

• The Starks have finally reclaimed Winterfell! The joy I felt when the Bolton banners were torn down and replaced with the wolves was euphoric. 
• The battle scenes at Winterfell were truly magnificent. Going from beautiful sweeping wide shots of Rickon and Jon running towards each other to close ups of Jon almost being suffocated by the armies really made me feel as if I was right there in the action with the characters.
• Littlefinger saving the day. We all predicted this would happen but it didn't make it any less enjoyable when we heard the approaching army and saw Ramsey's face when he knew he had lost.
• Ramsey is dead! After taking over from Joffery as the most hated character on the show, it was inevitable that he had to die at some point. Watching him being beaten by Jon was almost satisfying enough, but when he stops to let Sansa finish it off it got even better - true sibling love there. Goodbye House Bolton, and good riddance. Who will we hate now?
• Sansa started the show as one of the most irritating characters and no-one thought she would last long. Now she is one of my favourite characters and I am really rooting for her! Her smirk as she walked away from Ramsey being torn to death by his dogs was the best part of the episode for me personally. Queen of the North anyone?
• The partnership of Daenerys and Yara. I wasn't a big fan of this storyline when it was suggested earlier this series, as I really don;t care much for the Greyjoys. However when I saw the scene between them, Daenerys and Tyrion I was proved wrong. Whatever their relationship may become (some say there was a bit of flirtation between the girls, some say it was just mutual respect), it looks like Westeros is soon going to be run by women!
• All 3 dragons are let loose! We've all been wondering where Viserion and Rhageal, seeing as Drogon usually hogs all the limelight, but this week we finally got to see all 3 in action defending their mother. Lovely stuff.

• Literally nothing. The only upsetting bit was when Rickon died, and lets be honest - if we were going to lose a character from that episode we would choose him. Let's stop killing Starks and their direwolves from now on though please!

2. Why did Sansa not tell Jon about the Knights of the Vale?
3. Is Daenerys going to turn into the Mad Queen? She was a bit too eager to burn cities to the ground there...
4. How on earth did Yara and Theon get to Meereen so quickly?

• Tyrion, Missandei and Grey Worm drinking together was, for me, the best part of the episode. Although you could tell it was filler material whilst they waited for Daenerys to come back to Meereen, I could have genuinely watched a whole episode of those 3 interacting! Tyrion's joke about the fly in the wine glass actually made me giggle, and Grey Worm and Missandei are simply too cute together.
• Daenerys arriving on Drogon was expected but still satisfying. I know that Game Of Thrones does pride itself on staying away from the typical heroes narrative, but the Mother Of Dragons arriving just in time to save them from the Master's attacks was a great moment.
• "A girl is Arya Stark, and I am going home." Finally! I have enjoyed Jaqen H'ghar being back on our screens but it feels liek the right time to wrap up the story in Braavos and have Arya fully trained and ready to go kick some ass back in Westeros. Another Stark reunion anyone?
• The Hound is back to his normal self and killing everyone is his path. It seems that now he is back with the Brotherhood (who previously tried to kill him - awkward) and heading North to fight the White Walkers! The undead haven't got a chance...
• Jaime and Brienne reunite at Riverrun on opposite sides of the battle. I just love their relationship, as they battle between their honour and their true feelings. The wave goodbye at the end of the episode was so bittersweet, and I dearly hope they meet again!

• Blackfish dying off screen. Such an underused character and he didn't even get a proper death scene. Pretty pointless trip to Riverrun for Brienne!
• Arya killing the Waif so easily. I know that she's been through extensive training over the past 2 seasons, but the Waif has always clearly been a better fighter than her, having been a Faceless Man for longer. It was a satisfying end to her character but I would have liked to have seen how that final fight went down.
• Cersei can no longer rely on a trial by combat. Tommen took away his mother's last bit of hope as he announced that both Cersei and Loras will be tried by a panel of septons. This almost certainly means that Cersei will be found guilty and sentenced to death, making Zombie Mountain an altogether pointless creation now. I'm sure by the next episode she will have a new plan though...

• The Hound lives! One of the longest running theories was confirmed as we see Sandor Clegane alive and well somewhere in the Riverlands. Apparently the gods aren't done with him yet, and I for one cannot wait to see what they have in store for him...
• Lyanna Mormont. What a woman! Only 10 years old and ruling her own island, and she is by no means a wallflower. My favourite scene of the episode was her shutting down both Jon and Sansa before finally relenting on her own terms. Queen in the North!
• We knew that Margaery Tyrell couldn't really have been brainwashed by the High Sparrow, she's far too clever for that. She gives a subtle hint to her grandmother this episode that she has a bigger game plan for the Tyrell's, but what is she planning to do?
• We had a brief glimpse of Wun Wun the giant this week - a man of few words but who steals the scene every time. Saying this, it's inevitable that he will end up dying during the Battle of the Bastards if I know Game Of Thrones.
• Jaime and Bronn are back together and have arrived at Riverrun to take on the Blackfish. Jaime wants to use this opportunity to restore Lannister pride, but with Brienne fast approaching Riverrrun as well but on the opposing side, will the man without honour turn his back on his family name and do what's right? Let's hope so as I don';t think I could bear to see them fight each other!

• Arya getting stabbed. Please tell me she's OK! I actually have no doubt in my mind that she will be absolutely fine and live to see another day, but it will be interesting to see how they explain her recovery from those wounds.
• Yara and Theon. I am not taking away from the actors, but I am getting a little tired with the Ironborn scenes. Hopefully their story-lines will pick up if/when they reach Daenerys. Kraken and dragon could be a force to be reckoned with.
• Cersei looks broken. Where is our fierce queen? I have no doubt she'll be back with her claws out by the end of the season.

• Is Arya going to be OK?! (Probably, considering she features in the trailer for the next episode...)
• Who did Sansa write to?
• Where will the Hound go now?
• What is Margaery's game plan?
• What will Cersei do now she is all alone?
• Will Jaime take back Riverrun, or will he help the Blackfish escape once again to aid Brienne and Sansa?

• Yet another powerful speech from the Mother Of Dragons. I never get bored of those CGI dragons!
• Very cool flashback sequences from Bran - hopefully a sign of thing sto come as a we all wait for the R + L = J reveal.
• Part 2 of the Braavosi play about the story of Westeros. Seeing everyone weep while Arya delighted in watching Joffery die was a highlight of the episode.

• No Tyrion, Varys, Jon Snow or Sansa this week.

I can't even. Just when I think this show can't possibly emotionally traumatise me any further, they do this. I watched 'The Door' 12 hours prior to writing this review and I still feel like I'm in a state of shock and bereavement. In the space of about 5 minutes we lost 3 pivotal characters: the Three Eyed Raven, Summer and *sniff* Hodor. In an utterly heartbreaking turn of events we came to understand the origin of Hodor and also the perils of inexperienced time travel. Surely I wasn't the only person silently cursing Bran at the end of the episode? RIP Hodor. You were too pure for this world.

• The Brienne/Tormund sexual tension continues, and provides the much needed light relief from this otherwise utterly soul destroying episode. Tormund's attempts to look irresistible is hilarious and here's hoping Brienne gives in to his charms by the end of the season. What a power couple they would make. Imagine their children...
• Sansa's speech to Littlefinger was a fantastic moment and further cements her new position as a real player in this game. I can't wait to see what her character will be like at the end of the season. Queen of the North?
• Sansa deserves two honourable mentions for this episode, and the second is purely for her mention of 'the North remembers'. It sends chills down my spine every time someone says it. God knows the Starks could do with a bit of luck soon.
• Theon's speech in favour of his sister becoming Queen of the Iron Islands was a beautiful moment, as it really shows such as turnaround in his character. Once a misogynistic pig, he now recognises his sister to be the true leader and is willing to take a supporting role to make this happen. This hasn't really worked out for them so far though.
• Another week without story lines from Dorne. Good times.

• The death of Summer. Another direwolf has bitten the dust - that's two gone this season already! Why are you doing this to us show writers? This death could be quite symbolic however: the death of Summer means that winter is truly coming...
• Jorah the Andal finally declared his love to his Khaleesi and then is commanded to leave her straight away to find a cure for his greyscale. I really do hope this isn't the last time we see his character as he deserves a much better send off than that.

• Daenerys burning the Khals in Vaes Dothrak. What a speech! After some pretty dull scenes in Slaver's Bay it was so satisfying to see the Daenerys we all know and love back again: burning her enemies and surviving infernos.
• The Jon and Sansa reunion. Enough said. THE NORTH REMEMBERS.
• Chemistry between Tormund and Brienne. Tormund Giantsbane seductively eating in front of his dream woman was arguably my favourite part of this episode.
• No Dorne. After wiping out the royal family back in episode 1 we haven't heard a peep from the Sand Snakes, and I for one am not complaining.

• First Shaggydog and now Osha. Not even the Stark's family friends and pets can survive this godforsaken show!
• I used to think that the High Sparrow was a benevolent guy, but every week we see more and more of a menacing undertone to his character, Last week he nearly took on Jaime Lannister, and this week he tries a more subtle approach with Margaery. However she sees right through his façade and I have a funny feeling that it won't be long before the High Sparrow gets to meet his seven gods.
